The Scottish Conservative Disability Group will be hosting its inaugural fringe event at the Scottish Conservative & Unionist Annual Party Conference, in Room 3/4, Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre, (AECC).
The theme of the discussion will be harnessing the Purple Pound and it will be chaired by Jeremy Balfour MSP (Scottish Conservative & Unionist Party, Lothian Region) & Spokesperson for Welfare, Disability & Older People.
‘Harnessing the Purple Pound – How can business embrace the spending power of disabled people?’
The ‘purple pound’ describes the spending power of disabled people. The purple pound’s growing recognition presents an opportunity for businesses to understand why actively welcoming disabled customers isn’t just the right thing to do, but makes great business sense.
The panel of speakers includes a range of people from across the disability sector, local government and the business community for what is set to be a stimulating and thought provoking discussion.
