The government has today published the National Disability Strategy, which aims to remove barriers for disabled people to participate fully in society. The strategy focuses on the rights and perceptions of disabled people, employment, education, improving transport, creating more accessible housing, leisure and shopping by creating more consumer choice.
The CDG welcomes the publication of the strategy as a first step and we hope that government puts the lived experience of disabled people at the heart of policy making. We hope the National Disability Strategy brings practical meaningful change and opportunities for disabled people, in all aspects of their lives.
You are able to access the National Disability Strategy in Large Print, Easy Read, braille and British Sign Language. All formats can be found here.
